Ochos Rios, Jamaica
April 5, 1995 10AM - 2PM
4 hours, 1 camera, 3 lenses, 5 rolls of film, 1 taxi driver
This is by no means a comprehensive view of Jamaica or it's people. I had four hours and a singular goal - go into the country and see whatever I can. My taxi driver - Ustus (at first I thought he said useless - I was scared) took me into a nearby rainforest village. I met some wonderful people and had a great time. Yes I know I was an outsider. And yes I know that in many ways this is a stereotypical view of Jamaica. However I still love the results and have since forgiven myself for capturing the feeling and, dare I say, soul of these people in an arguably superficial series.
